Counseling Experience
Specialized care:
I specialize in working with high-functioning adults experiencing emotional distress, existential crisis, and gridlock due to relational hurt or traumatic experiences. I am trained in a number of synergistic evidence-based therapies that include Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy , EMDR, Psychedelic-Assisted EMDR Therapy, IFS, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Together, we can address:
Core wounds from past relational trauma or betrayal that continue to impact your present relationships and sense of self, persistent patterns of emotional overwhelm or shutdown that interfere with your daily functioning, existential questions about meaning, identity, and purpose that feel increasingly urgent, and the disconnect between your outward success and inner experience of distress or emptiness..
A typical treatment plan may involve:
An initial phase of building safety and understanding your unique history, nervous system patterns, and therapeutic goals. From there, we'll integrate approaches tailored to your needs—this might include EMDR or Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to process traumatic memories, IFS work to help different parts of yourself communicate and heal, somatic practices to release stored tension and reconnect you with your body's wisdom, and mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness and self-compassion. You'll develop greater insight into patterns that have kept you stuck, experience more authentic connection in your relationships, and rebuild a sense of agency and trust in yourself.
We'll move at a pace that feels manageable while maintaining momentum toward meaningful change.
Many client’s have described:
A reduction in emotional reactivity and an increased capacity to be present with difficult feelings without becoming overwhelmed. As well as, feeling more integrated—like the different aspects of their experience finally align. Overall - experiencing a renewed sense of meaning, purpose, and vitality in their lives.
Why I Became a Therapist:
Being a therapist reflects a core part of me, the part that revels in the deep mystery of what it means to belong to the human family. My great grandfather on my mother’s side was a Cree medicine healer. He passed down his love for people, nature, ceremony, and healing arts through my mother to me.
In addition to being a counselor, I am a multi-media artist. I believe that art facilitates expression, psychological health and overall wellness. When requested, I readily incorporate ceremony and other expressive art forms into the therapy space.
“I believe whole heartily that psychological health promotes clarity, purpose, equanimity (peace), and joy. And, am honored to provide a safe, exploratory space, where people experience healing and move towards a stronger sense of self, belonging, joy, and emotional well-being.”
